Airport Road Self Storage

Airport Road self storage has been upgraded to a perfect FIVE (5) I rarely give a five rating because there is always room for improvement My original rating was a "4" but as of 9/26/2026 Airport Road self storage became the newest U-Haul dealer in Rio Vista,CA which makes perfect sense. They are in the process of a beatification upgrade to the property giving this location even greater visibility off of Airport road. The staff, ESPECIALLY the manager are friendly professional & at your service to assist in your storage needs. With the addition of U-Haul rentals I expect their popularity to increase profoundly.

I literally spoke with someone and we agreed that I would be showing up in 16 minutes. They’re doing paving work, so the lady told me to park in front of the flags and walk across the walkway, which is exactly what I did. Not only was the front door locked when I got here, but a lady walked up and told me not to walk on the asphalt. I literally had to walk on the road with cars coming to get back to my car. The lady on the golf cart walked away didn’t tell me if I’m supposed to go back to the office, but nobody’s there Anyway. Extremely unprofessional.

A well policed storage facility with plenty of outdoor vehicle parking. Decent gate hours. The gate keypad entrance is awkwardly placed forcing you to exit your car to key in your code on entry & exit.

Moved my things here after Public Storage near Antioch was broke. Into and they stole SO much of my things. Airport Storage has excellent security. When you key in it disarms your Storage unit when you key back out it sets your unit alarm back on. Can't get better that that! We are now looking to store our RV there in the open lot... and feel confident.

This is a good storage facility. I think their prices are a bit too high though, and they limit access hours too much. Fee increases happened fairly regularly. The facility seemed fairly secure, with cameras and alarms. The office staff was generally pleasant to deal with and I got along with them okay. The ground is higher than a neighboring facility - which I think is important as it is fairly close to the river.
