First, I want to sincerely commend Sondra. She was outstanding, highly professional, and consistently went above and beyond. Storage Pro was fortunate to have her. My mother-in-law rents multiple units here, and when we learned that Sondra no longer works at this location, it was deeply disappointing. The primary reason we stayed was because of her professionalism, reliability, and the genuine care she showed. She made the place feel personal, almost like family. Since her departure, our concern has only grown. What once felt like a locally run, community-focused business now feels like a corporate operation that prioritizes profit over people. My mother-in-law has been a customer for over 15 years, yet her rent continues to increase every few months, regardless of her long-term loyalty or the substantial amount she pays. Length of tenancy and customer commitment seem to carry no weight anymore. Customers are treated like numbers, not people. Previously, when the property was family-owned, rent increases were rare and modest. In contrast, nearby storage facilities, including others in the San Luis Obispo area, typically raise rates by only a small amount, if at all. At this location, increases of $20, $30, $50, $60 or more appear to be the norm and occur regularly. Sondra was the one steady presence that held everything together. Without her, I genuinely worry for anyone who remains at this location, especially in a small town where relationships and trust still matter. I strongly encourage anyone considering this facility to research other options in the area before committing. Unfortunately, the management direction here feels like it will continue to decline. While positive reviews may be encouraged or solicited, our experience tells a different story. Sondra was the sole reason this location was enjoyable and trustworthy, and her absence WILL changed everything! Storage Pro has become a clear example of corporate greed. I genuinely wish good luck to anyone considering moving into this location, because I strongly encourage you to look at other storage facilities in the area and speak with their managers first. I would also advise staying away from any storage company managed by Storage Pro or other large corporations. In my experience, they continue to raise rents again and again, with little regard for the financial strain people are already under. These are difficult times, and many people are simply trying to get by. While my mother-in-law is fortunate enough to manage the increases for now, at a certain point it’s no longer about having the means. It’s about fairness and common sense. Customers deserve transparency and respect, not constant price hikes. Please be cautious and do your research. Beware when it comes to Storage Pro!!!

Sondra is awesome. Great customer service. I absolutely love this place from the moment she greeted me. I had been to 5 different storage locations that day and no one could or would help me. Once I walked into Abbys self storage and Sondra greeted me I felt the stress leave me. I knew I had been welcomed into the right place. Rental was quick and stress free. I recently upgraded my storage size and that was even easier! I will go back for all of my storage needs.

My son and I really appreciate the services offerred by Abbys Storage. In particular, Sondra, your Facility Manager has been very helpful in insuring that our storage is in good shape and secure. I had an amazing experience with Sondra when looking for a unit. She drove me around to look at sizes and different areas because it’s hard to really know what you need till you see it. They also take pride in keeping it very clean and I feel like my stuff is safe. She is an asset to your team. Amazing Custer service. Thanks again Sondra for. Your help , understanding and compassion
